Guest – Gourmet’s Test

A guest arrives,

She greets the hosts ,who are  dutiful wives….

 

The hosts welcome her with delight,

She forgets her plight…..

 

The weather is stormy ,

The rains are heavy….

 

The guest is uninvited,

But, the hosts are united….

 

They  make her comfortable,

They arrange her table…

 

They serve her a hot , tasty soup,

Their minds have no coup…

 

They talk about her plan,

They feel she belongs to  a different clan…

 

They do not show any disrespect,

What else could she expect?

 

They helped her in her hour of need,

She was grateful for their good deed….

 

She departs with a belief in goodness,

She remembers them for their kindness….
