She came early from office , today. She had a quick tea and biscuits followed by a quick refreshing shower. She was getting ready for her colleague’s wedding reception.
She wore an embroidered , sequined peacock blue salwar kameez. To complement the dress, she wore silver bangles, silver jhumkas ( hanging ear rings), silver pendant. She wore light make up. She combed her hair. She looked at her reflection in the mirror. It was pretty. She blushed. She took her purse and gift. She moved out of the room.
She looked at the mirror in the passage. She thought of doing the last minute primp. The pendant was hiding behind the dupatta. She adjusted it. Everything seemed to be precise. But she still felt that something was a miss. She looked at her forehead. She spotted the missing spot! She removed a matching silver coloured oval shaped bindiya from the bindiya album and stuck it on her forehead. She was not satisfied with the position. It was slanting!!! She kept adjusting and readjusting. She tested the bindiya’s patience and sticking capacity! Much to the relief of the tiny bindiya, another hand held it and perfectly placed it on her forehead….She was delighted to be with him unexpectedly. He had arrived one day prior to his schedule. Now, the picture in the mirror was perfect !!!😃😄
